Cathlyn Choi

Hello and welcome to Asian Culture & Media Alliance! 2018 brings new and exciting opportunities for us at ACMA to further our goals of promoting the Asian Pacific American culture through the development of exciting new projects this year, as well as continue to grow our existing programs such as our award winning TV show,  Asian Voices.

I  want to welcome my new Executive and Advisory Board members who are comprised of distinguished and inspiring Asian community, media and business leaders from throughout Southern California. I’m fortunate that they share my vision and have joined me on this journey to create a better voices in media that will benefit all of us as a community.

As an Asian community activist, TV personality, Producer and Business Entrepreneur, I recognized the immediate need for a better and more accurate representation of this community in media. That’s why I founded the Asian Culture and Media Alliance, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization in 2013.

As many are aware, the Asian Pacific American (APA) community is the fastest growing demographic in the US and one of the most affluent, however it is still the most under-represented, especially in mainstream media.  ACMA’s goal is to seek ways to empower and promote a better awareness and understanding of our APA community through the power of media arts, specifically television, film and online media as well as workshops, seminars and youth internship programs.

Our programs benefit the entire APA community socio-economically and culturally by promoting a better self-representation in media and changing pre-conceived opinions about this rich & diverse culture that has contributed significantly in shaping our country’s history and future.

As a non-profit, ACMA relies on the kind generosity of our media sponsors, grants from foundations, fund raising events and private donors who believe in our important purpose. We are always seeking ways to improve our message and new sponsorship opportunities.

We invite you to join us on our exciting journey as we seek to make 2018 the best year yet for ACMA and discover new opportunities for us to grow beyond our wildest expectations!
